Today, we sent an email asking the recipients to vote for their favourite Grand Prize option, and send us feedback. The response has been overwhelming and we’re still reading through the hundreds of responses. Thanks everyone for taking the time to send us feedback and help us create the best possible lottery programs! We’ll post more over the course of the lottery.
Here’s a sample of what we’ve received:

I love the Kitsilano home. It is my ideal home and location. To be able to be car free, on major transport links, close to commercial, recreational and educational facilitates is wonderful. I especially like that two families, or a family and grown children can use this and it keep the eco footprint smaller. Great choice of neighborhood and great choice to renovate an older home. I wouldn’t sell it, I would live in it!
Finger crossed…I’m dreaming about this home!

We’ve been buying tickets for the house lotteries for so long, I can’t remember exactly when we started, I think it was in the early 1980’s … and has sort of escalated from there to quite a few every year. We always hope our ticket is “the one”, but we also feel that the money couldn’t go to a better use! If we did win, we would prompty put our present house on the market and move into that beautiful house in south Surrey – it’s super, when we visited last time, we were looking at the view and there was a fantastic eagle gliding east along the water, we think it was a sign. This is the 2nd ticket we’ve purchased for this particular home and are feeling really lucky this time.

Both lottery homes are equally beautiful. Kelly and her team did an excellent job. I however am attracted to the Kits home. It’s quaint, accessible to the beach, shopping, downtown.
Don told us:
This home you have chosen to renovate is by far the most beautiful home any lottery has offered as a prize. This home has so much character with a beautiful view and the lot is old, established and private. P.S. The heritage home is unique as well.

I think it is great that a house that is located within Vancouver is an option for this lottery. My Fiance and I live and work in Vancouver and I couldnt imagine living in the ‘Burbs’ even when we do have our first child.
To have that option (over cash) is a really good thing. Plus the home that was chosen has character and there is history there. I think is is great that a home was chosen to refurbish rather than tear down and start new.
Kits is near and dear to my heart and has been an area that I have always envisioned raising a family in. It was the first area I lived in when I moved to Vancouver.
Now hopefully I win so my Fiance and I have a good start to our new life together. Thanks!
